Tanztendenz München is one of Germany’s longest-standing institutions for contemporary dance, supporting independent choreographers and fostering artistic exchange since 1987. As a platform for production, research and discourse, it provides spaces and structures that enable experimental dance practices and strengthen Munich’s vibrant dance community.
The visual identity for Tanztendenz is built around a flexible logotype system featuring a mirrored “N” and a graphic bar structure that serves as a framework for typography and content. Acting as both a compositional tool and a recurring visual element, the system creates a dynamic and recognizable language that reflects the movement, openness and collaborative nature of contemporary dance.

For Tanztendenz, we translated the visual identity into a digital platform that combines clarity with flexibility. Guided by the typographic bar system, the website creates a strong visual rhythm while providing an intuitive framework for the organisation’s diverse programmes, archives and editorial content.

Guided by the typographic bar system, the publications combine clear information with a strong visual rhythm, creating recognizable formats for programmes, discourse and cultural exchange.
